Punch House

Located in the basement of Thalia Hall, Punch House’s history is steeped in the maritime origins of our namesake drink.

When British sailors made the voyage to India and back during the 17th century, they diluted their rum rations with sugar and spices, from which sprang the five tenets of quality, balanced punch: “strong, weak, bitter, sour & sweet.” Each of these elements is now skillfully interpreted in our novel cocktail menu. The food menu follows suit with a variety of East and West coast oysters and its noteworthy signature fondue pot.
